What Information We Collect
We collect information to provide you with the best possible experience and to improve our services. This may include:
a. Information you provide directly:
- Name, email address, company, and other contact details submitted through our forms.
- Project details or messages shared during inquiries or consultations.
- Files or attachments you upload (e.g., RFPs, documentation).
b. Information collected automatically:
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, and device information.
- Page visit analytics (e.g., via Google Analytics or Vercel insights).
- Cookies and session data to enhance website performance.
c. Information collected via integrations (if applicable):
- Scheduling information (if you book through Calendly).
- Workflow data passed through tools like n8n, Airtable, or Google Sheets (only when required to deliver your requested service).
How We Use Information
We use your data strictly for the purposes described below:
- To respond to inquiries and schedule consultations.
- To analyze how visitors use our site and improve user experience.
- To provide and maintain AI automation services or infrastructure for clients.
- To comply with legal and security obligations.
We do not use client or visitor data to train public AI models or for any form of data resale.

We may share data with trusted partners only when necessary to operate our business, such as:
- Service hosting (e.g., Vercel, Netlify, or cloud providers).
- Workflow automation tools (e.g., n8n) for secure lead intake.
- Analytics and scheduling tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Calendly).
Each partner we use follows security and privacy standards consistent with Canadian privacy laws and GDPR principles.
Our Assessment Tools & Forms
Code01 offers several free assessment tools and a contact form on our website. Each is designed with privacy in mind. Below we explain exactly what each tool collects and how that data is used.
Business Bottleneck Finder
The Bottleneck Finder is a short operational assessment that identifies process inefficiencies and high-impact improvement areas in your business. To deliver your personalized results, we collect:
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Your assessment responses
This information is used solely to generate and deliver your bottleneck report. Your email address may be used to follow up regarding your results unless you opt out. We do not sell or share this data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is retained for up to 12 months.
AI Readiness Audit
The AI Readiness Audit is a seven-question assessment that evaluates how prepared your business is to adopt AI. After completing the assessment, you are asked to provide:
- Full name
- Email address
- Company name
Your results are either displayed immediately or emailed to you, depending on your preference. We use your contact information to deliver the report and may follow up to discuss your results. This data is retained for up to 12 months and is never used for unrelated marketing without your explicit consent.
ComplianceIQ — AI Governance Assessment
ComplianceIQ is a free AI governance self-assessment tool available at code01.ai/complianceiq. It is designed with a privacy-first, anonymous-by-default approach:
Anonymous Assessment Phase
Completing the questionnaire requires no personally identifiable information. Responses, industry selection, and compliance scores are recorded using a randomly generated session ID only. This anonymous data is used solely to improve the tool and generate aggregate compliance insights.
When You Request a Compliance Review
If you choose to book a review with our team, you will be asked for your name, company, and email address. Two separate consent choices are presented at that point:
- Review consent (required): Your contact information is linked to your assessment results so we can prepare and deliver your personalized compliance review. Retained for up to 24 months or until you request deletion.
- Marketing consent (optional): With your separate explicit consent, we may send compliance insights, product updates, and educational content. Withdraw at any time by emailing privacy@code01.ai or using the unsubscribe link in any email.
Data Residency
All ComplianceIQ data — anonymous assessment records and any contact information — is stored in Supabase on servers in Canada (Canada Central region). Your data does not leave Canada. This is a deliberate architectural decision to ensure PIPEDA compliance.
AI-Generated Reports
Full compliance reports are generated using Google's Gemini AI via the Gemini API. Your assessment data (scores, gaps, industry, regulations) is sent to the Gemini API solely to generate your report narrative and is not used to train Google's models. PDF reports are temporarily hosted by api2pdf, accessible only via a private URL, and are not permanently stored by Code01.
Right to Deletion
Email privacy@code01.ai with the subject line "ComplianceIQ Data Deletion Request" and the email address used when booking your review. We will confirm deletion within 30 days.
Contact Us Form
When you submit a project inquiry through our Contact Us page, we collect:
- Full name and work email address
- Company or clinic name
- Role or job title (optional)
- Location (optional)
- Project details including service interest, timeline, budget range, and project type
- Any additional notes or context you choose to provide
Submission requires your explicit consent, confirmed via a checkbox acknowledging that Code01 will handle your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This data is used exclusively to prepare for and follow up on your inquiry. It is routed securely through our n8n automation infrastructure and stored for up to 12 months. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train AI models.
Data Storage, Security & Retention
- All collected data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- Internal data (forms, workflows, or stored client info) is hosted in secure environments.
- We retain contact inquiries for up to 12 months or as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.
- Clients who engage Code01 for services have their project data governed by separate confidentiality and data-processing agreements.
Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of your personal information we hold.
- Ask us to correct or delete your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time by contacting privacy@code01.ai.
We will respond to all privacy-related requests within 30 days, in accordance with Canadian privacy legislation (PIPEDA / PHIPA where applicable).
Cookies & Analytics
We use limited cookies and analytics to improve our website experience:
- Performance cookies to measure traffic and engagement.
- Functional cookies for remembering form inputs or preferences.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time without losing access to our site.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. When we do, we will update the "Last Modified" date at the top of this page.
